About Me

I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Urban Planning and Design, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. My research lies at the intersection of urban climate, human mobility, and public health, with a particular focus on how extreme heat and heat exposure shape commuting, outdoor activities, everyday behavior, and health risks in cities.

My work explores how urban planning and design can help cities adapt to a warming climate, including cooling infrastructure, blue–green spaces, street trees and greenways, and the accessibility of public facilities. I am particularly interested in combining urban analytics, spatial data, and computational approaches to understand human–environment interactions and to support healthier and more climate-resilient cities.

Before joining Peking University, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Geography at King’s College London and a Lecturer with the London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (LISS DTP). I received my Ph.D. in Spatial Planning from TU Dortmund University, following earlier training in architecture and urban planning at Leibniz University Hannover and the China Academy of Art.
